I forgot about this and was worried it would be completely past its best (or past it altogether). But: A dark ruby colour; strong nose of leather; lovely long taste. Very dry finish. Altogether very lovely.

Really at its best now. Not the most complex, but more than you can expect from a Rosso ( Brunello) for this price. Really very satisfying. So I think this merits higher scores than most in the community because most bottles were opened too early. Have some left!

This is very good. Needs 1 hour open to smooth out the last bit of tartness in the tannines. Then a full bodied, smooth, almost sweet typical sangiovese at its best. Spicy, some pepper, tabacco and chocolate. Enough acid, not prominent. Fully mature now. Would not know how long this will hold, but no reason to: can not imagine this could get better. I love it. Better than some >€50 wines.

Perhaps I did not leave the 1st bottle rest long enough after transportation. This one is very nice. Slightly sweet as all integrated, mature reds should be. Spicy, some leather, not much primary fruit left. This is what I wanted.
