  1 hour decant. No noticeable sediment. Color, garnet with light orange at the rim. Nose closed, even after decant. Dried herbs, iron, dried cherries. Palate. Medium plus tannin, medium acidity. Dried herbs confirming the nose. Earthiness. Dark (Black) cherry. Notes of black tea. Had with grilled steak, shitake mushrooms and a soy sauce based sauce so lots of umami.

  Classic Barolo that's in prime. Fruits almost all gone. Mainly tertiary aromas and palate. Feminine and elegant.

  Excellent textbook Barolo. Tannins have softened nicely, yet still have grip. In a good place to enjoy now.

  Bright red with nice, dried red fruit and earthy flavors. Lightweight and elegant with bright acidity, but also with good depth of flavors. Very enjoyable, especially with food. 91-92
