I have a huge soft spot for this wine having visited the winery the day my wife and I got engaged. 2014 isn’t the best vintage I’ve tried but it’s still a very accomplished wine with complexity, balance and a lightness of touch missing from some other Stellenbosch Bordeaux blends. At 10 years of age it’s in an excellent spot - still cassis, black currant and plum leading the charge but backed up by some wonderful tertiary characters, leather, spice and the tannins are well integrated. I don’t think 2014 has the long haul potential of the ‘15 or ‘16 but it could definitely go longer.

Didn't take notes but thought that this was great. In my view not overdone nor overripe. Sure some oak here to absorb still, but otherwise good freshness, extremely fine, quality tannins and especially some lovely cab aromatics. Without a doubt very polished in a more old world style and all in all very well made. Should continue to improve. 17+/20

I'm probably just not qualified to rate a cab sauv driven bordeaux blend like this, I like lighter bodied wines. I just couldn't find much to be interested in. Jammy.

This is a Bordeaux blend and quite the value. Stylistically is modern and pulls no punches. Cassis and blackberry flavors. Lots of oak showing with vanilla and mocha. Super value.

Slight garnet on the rim. Cassis, dark cherry, oak, plum, cigar, spice, medium + tannins. Great wine that drinks well already.
