PNP with duck confit. Tasting like it has a bit of age now. Mellow. Chambolle red fruits dominate as usual. Wine can age for years due to high acidity but my last bottle of 2015. Too good not to drink.

Pulled the cork an hour before dinner of duck confit. What can I say about this wine I haven’t already said. My favorite Villages Chambolle Producer. Always great, always consistent and always so good.
Red Chambolle fruits jump out of the glass which is always a Grassl Cru wine glass. I just lament the prices now same for Hudelot Noellat. $100 for Villages CM is testing my resolve. Sadly I have only one 15 left but plenty of 16 & 17 that I need to keep my hands off. Why do I love Burgundy so much? Mr Cinnamon Man is here too mixed in with the red fruits. Lovely.

Tasted over 3 hrs -nearly semi-translucent med dark red -subdued with subtle violet floral cinnamon spice red fruit -med/med+ acidity provides backend lift, med- weight very lively crisp tart red apple peel cranberry faint brown spice and some secondary nuances sneaking in, med/med- tannins and good length -really quite complex for its level, open on the palate if not so much on the nose

Medium cherry color. Earthy but very fresh nose, Mellow and smooth. An elegant, simple burgundy.

Pleasant, in a very Bertheau and Chambolle (hard to separate the two) way. Juicy red fruit, with a ripeness that works well with the house style.
