All Saints at All Saints (All Saints, Mpls, MN): Light gold color. Drank a glass over 75 minutes. Very zippy, plenty of ocean character on the nose with a mix of lime and lemon. The palate has nice intensity, seachore, earthy, lime and Meyer-lemon with a bold acidity. Still very good. 91+ to 92pts.

Luis goes to Cahill Bistro: Floral, fruity and quite dry. I think this suffered a bit for being in a flight with two chardonnays. I'd like to try some Albarino's like this in the summer.

Another Great Luis Tasting! (Cahill Bistro): A very nice wine! Quite tropical, with loads of tropical fruit, white flowers and a hint of spice, coupled with slate and minerality. A lighter style wine that would be a good summer sipper. Delicious and a solid 92 for my palate.

hint of botrytis shows through, the wine is richer in body and extract, but the flavors are muted, more dulled than I would have expected given previous experience with this wine.

Spain and Italy at Estelle (Estelle, St. Paul, MN): Light gold color. Drank a glass plus over 2hours. Drank this next to an even better '16 Do Ferreiro Adina. This was a little warmer and seemed to initially lack the verve of the '16 Adina to start. The nose shows Meyer lemon, oyster notes, and hints of diesel. The palate is broader and deeper than the Adina with saline really standing out, just filling you with a sense of ocean. Very long from the start but not showing the acidity or lift of the Adina. About an hour into to this, there was something of a transformation as everything came together and the acidity revealed itself making it more riveting and compelling. I love these Do Ferreiro Albarino's, and this serves as a reminder that I need to crack them more often.
