Consistent with previous bottle. Still very intense on the nose and palate with no sign of breaking down. Licorice/anise definitely coming through at the moment. A serious barbera for sure.

Really interesting wine. Popped and poured but should have decanted for sediment. Dark garnet color with hints of orange around the rim. Nose of deep black cherry and roasted black plums with a bit of cigar box spice and cedar. Touch of anise as well. Definitely not your fresh and fruity barbera. Intensely flavored on the palate with black plum, licorice, spice. Medium- acid and medium tannin but fuller bodied with 15.5% alcohol. Carries that very well and still enough acidity to not be overripe. I don't have a ton of experience with aged barbera but this should be nice for another 1-2 years at least.

The wine looks purple colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like blackberry and toast. It tastes like blackberry, black currant (cassis) and vanilla. The body is medium/full. The wine has round texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has low acidity.

Opaque maroon with deep red edges. Beautiful intense color. Nose of black and red fruit and alcohol (listed as 15.5%). Full bodied flavor, long finish, good acidity, mild tannin. Very enjoyable!
