  • big complex velvety and classy barbera. Ageing in oak (carati) gives this barbera a seductive silky note you cannot escape. The nose is gentle oak and licorice with a cascade of ripe red fruit; the palate is consistent and licorice and ripe plums melt with pencil and graphite. The ensemble is a juicy and velvety stuff which has little left from barbera but is truly truly amazing. Wonderful cedar aftertaste

  • wow what a Barbera.... A little bit compressed at the nose, almost metallic, it shows a stunning taste of earth, gentle licorice and a super-wonderful oak hint which gives a magic touch to the mouth. A true sipping experience. Wonderfully aged it is in its best drinking window for at least another couple of years. Really great and pleasant. Great stuff. Scavino, master of Barolo, King of Barbera
