Drank in a 16 horizontal, I found this and Leoville Poy somewhat disappointing. It has the merlot lushness with no hard edges, plum earth, chocolate and green pepper from the cab franc. That said the heat was coming through, and it wasn’t as fresh as I’d want

This was so surprising approachable for a young wine. Drank next to 2011, 2006 and 2001. This was by far the best. Not as complex and unique but just so well resolved and balanced.

Outstanding! Smooth yet intense. No hard edges. For both amateurs and pro wine fans

There's an elegance, softness and sheen that's nearly Burgundian.
