This poured a rich purple. Fragrant ripe plum, cherry and floral notes with a bit of nori. Wonderful inner-mouth perfume and mouthfeel with a decadent blast of fresh red and dark fruit, excellent volume, lift and balance. A mouth-watering finish. Just lovely. Still young but drinking great already. I would love to try this again in 5 years or so as I suspect it may be even better then.

A bold, beautiful wine with tons of aging potential. Dark fruit and a 20-30 second finish. Incredible to enjoy right now but will also age extremely well. IMHO this outperforms Troplong Mondot for the same vintage (2005). I will be curious to try both side by side in 5 years, the Troplong Mondot is definitely bigger with sharper edges that may smooth over time.
