Dinner with Marie Andree Mugneret (Buona Terra): Coming after the 2015 Ruchottes, this looks more aged with browning edge but youthful on the nose. Blue and red fruits burst out of the glass, intermixed with spices, potpourri, excellent depth with game, earth. Amazing nose. Beautiful on the palate, youthful with good fruits, med acid, soft tannins with a superb lingering fresh finish.

TBC - this probably claims the award for WOTN ahead of the Ruchottes 15. It is more evolved than the latter. Pot-pourri dominating the nose. If anything can be extrapolated from the 16 vs 15 comparison is that 16 can be very very fine. Classic year aromatics with riper year midpalate power. Yields to the Ruchottes 15 on potential but wins for immediate pleasure

Agree with other notes of feminine wine, smooth and elegant and rounded with attractive nose.
