Served at family Christmas dinner, no formal note taken. From memory, full bodied and on the sweet side showing tropical fruit notes and a solid acidic backbone.

PnP....still quite young, but was a paella party, so I thought this would complement a nice spicy paella! Problem was that is was not that spicy at all. Still, it complemented the seafood and was good on its own. A little on the sweet side, but full of bright fruit, mostly tropical and passion fruit, with some minerality, mostly saline and oyster shell, and a nice dose of acidity to balance it out (although more acid would have been nice!). This will undoubtably get better with age, and I will try not to touch another bottle for at least 5 years (ideally, 10). 94 for its bright fruit and tamed sweetness now, but a chance to gain a couple points with additional age.

Monthly Tasting Group: Rieslings (Ngon Bistro, St. Paul, MN): Ultra pale near clear color. Drank a glass over 30 minutes plus. Not surprisingly this is crazy primary and filled with explosive fruit. I love the tropical nose of passion fruit, guava, and mango. Smells and tastes like a big glass of minerally POG juice, and I mean that in the best possible way. Great acid and balance. Quite amazing and has a great future. 94(+)pts.

JJ Prum - 2016 range tasting (ChinChin Sydney): Licorice, plum, pineapple, lemon and vanilla with some orange peel as well on the swirling, lifted nose. Mouth-filling intensity with a bold flavour profile but the acidity to cut through brilliantly. Great carry and interest in this wine already, with texture and character. Super stuff.
