  • 2017: dead and gone. Too bad

  • FLinty, citric and a bit buttery on the nose and initially in the palate, afterabout 30 minutes in the glass the wine developed a beautiful balance and body. Still citrus, but with a more tropical element and mouthfeel. Really lovely wine and not quite showing its age in either color or palate, except for a shortened finsih.

  • Not decanted and drank right away after opening.

Color: Golden yellow and mature looking. Typical of an aged Burgundy white and resembles a aged sauternes.

Nose: Mature bouquet of butter and minerals, with a dose of oil. Yummy.

Palate: Forward and full-bodied, concentrated minerals on the attack and your tongue is immediately coated with layers of butter, oil and the mature scent of the chardonnay grape! Elegant and sexy mouthfeel, like a miniature version of a mature batard montrachet (with less concentration and less oily texture). Good balance. The finish was slightly under 30 seconds.

Finished my 1 and only bottle. How I wish I had more in my cellar.
