At a private dinner, Little Cove, Noosa. This wine opened well with a pale green colour colour and plenty of white peach, pear and citrus on the nose backed with some classic limestone touches. The palate is robust and flavoursome with plenty of Chassagne generosity and sparkle. There is good grip and length and an overall sense of everything we seek in Chardonnay on an early autumn night at the beach !

Straw with green flecks. Fresh, intense nose- lemon curd, faint spearmint, icy butter, white flowers. Palate is super intense and long, immaculate balance. Immediately mouth filling but retains delicacy and restraint. Just superb and really improved over 3 hours. Should have kept some for day 2, but that didn't happen.

Another crack at this and I’m still in 93 territory. The 16 Morgeot shows signs of the vintage, somewhat tropical, concentrated and a little showy with its alcohol. It does offer a lovely transparent purity. Notes of nectarine and mango, not a ton of cut. This may develop a little like the 09s. No rush at all.

Here a little bit rounder and more limestone, more languid through the mid palate, not as crispy as the Moureau.
