  Decent bricking. A bit turbid despite standing upright for a week before consumption. Lean fruit with an attractive earthiness, some rose and maturing menthol. Fairly austere but without the shrill acidity of some of its contemporaries. This is past peak but not yet over-the-hill. Drink up.

  Major underperformer, at least as judged with this bottle. Stiff, uneasy, and all things that 1996 has brought on the negative side to date (note: many other 1996's seem to be coming around these days...). Excessive acidity + tired fruit = this result. Don't wait around for day 2 -- it's worse!

  Mugneret-Gibourg Chambolle-Musigny les Feusselottes Dinner (The Bristol - Chicago IL): Served single blind in 93/96/99/01 flight. This bottle was a recent purchase, so with unknown provenance. Very tired, almost stewed, possibly heat damaged?
