Dinner with Andrew of CellarTracker fame (Chicago, IL): Not as woodsy as I expected, but definitely a thicker-textured, richer wine as far as white Burgundy goes. It holds the weight well, especially in a mediocre vintage like 2016. Not hyper-reduced like so many contemporary white Burgundies. I like this more than some other recent Niellons.

The oxidation is evident and will only get worse with time.

Pronounced gold. Young oaky and lemon oil nose. Palate is rich, heavy alcohol, lemon sherbet. lemon balm. Nice heady finish. Still very young. 90?

Possibly flawed. This seemed advanced with overripe orchard fruit, nutty character, and underwhelming length.
