Opened at 3pm from magnum for dinner drinking. Nice fruity floral nose, quite a nice mellow textured wine but not as expressive as the naudin echezeaux we drank this next to. Good concentration and structure.

Magnificent nose, great finesse and subtle austerity. Big and intense at first, shy mid palate but the finish comes back on a peppery austerity, closing the loop with the first impression. Loving it

Domaine Jean-Marc Millot Masterclass: From three different plots (Echezeaux du dessus, Poulailleres, Clos St.Denis) in Ech making it a complete, complex wine. Similar to the 2015, solid structure, nice aromatic complexity with spice earth and game. A bit more blue fruit than the 2015 but equally impressive. I wonder how long this producer can stay under the radar.

Gorgeous floral and fruity nose, on the palate quite muscular, yet with elegance. Packed with red fruit and some darker blue fruit.

Janselijn Wines & Verkerk Wines Burgundy v. Tuscany Tasting (Restaurant The Lobby Fizeaustraat, Hotel V, Amsterdam, NL): Trade tasting, brief note. From Echézeaux du Dessus, Les Poulaillères, and Clos St. Denis, 0.97ha in total. More masculine style than the Suchots, quite compact, muscular rather than curvy, relatively cool style, needs more time, firm but well integrated tannins, good length. Very good potential.
