Opened and allowed to breath and rise in temperature from the cellar. Dark ruby color. Dark core fruit aromatics. More masculine than feminine in its taste profile. Black cherry, earth and mineral in flavor. Solid drinker, but a bit subtle in the finish. EG #ArchitecturalArtistry #WineArchitect

Burgundy Tasting (Restaurant Brunnenstube, Beinstein): Glass: Schott Zwiesel Burgundy / Riedel Vinum Burgundy Decanted. Hard to rate as it is very young. Clear, medium ruby color. Cool, muted typical Burgundy nose. Lots of red fruit, very clean (no Brett), elegant, fine spices and very fine oak. Lots of pressure and tension. Long finish. Great wine that will get even better in 5-10+ years. 93-94 now.

2D240; G5; 4.5+8+4.5+8.5+8.5+4*+4*; Seemed off kilter, maybe locked up when first opened. Cork had barely held and I was worried the bottle may have been compromised, but the color was great and no real signs of deterioration. Decided to decant and there was small improvement, so poured it back into the bottle and came back 4+ hours later and voila! the wine was there! I was happy and very quickly finished it off wishing I had left more for the 4-hour later consumption. But learning and enjoying...... Still have 5 bottles, so much enjoyment ahead assuming corks are good. Will have to peel back the cap sleeve and check for leakage....
