  • Elegant barolo . Noe lukket på nese og i munn. Noe kirsebær, liljer kamfer, mint og noe grønne urter på nese . Bra kvalitet på tanniner med flott presisjon mellom syre og bitterstoffer , silky munnfølelse . Flott integrert fatbruk. Bra utgave av 2014 årgang barolo

  • From Coravin
    Ruby colored
Bright savory cherry aromas and flavors, still needing a bit of time to balance out some fairly dense tannins.
    Lots going on. Hold

  • It took about 4 hours before this began to open. It felt somewhat limp and light at first, but grew to show notes of dried cherry, rose petals, chalk, with hits of orange zest and anise. A bit of leather also became present. Really nice acidity woth firm tannic structure. A first Boschis for me, and Im unsure what to make of it given the current price point.

  • 2014 Barolo at Festa dal Barolo (Del Posto, NYC): 2014 vintage tasting at 2019 Festa dal Barolo

Spice and floral driven nose. Pretty and perfumed. The wood is still pretty evident for me. Red fruited, midweighted with lovely fruit and lovely acid lift. I like this more than usual, and the wood seems to be handled with a gentle hand.

  • La Festa Barolo (NYC): Nose: Strong aromatics with a clean nose of gently ripe red fruit with a little green to keep it fresh. The words came to me, "crystalline", "precise", whatever the they mean..
Palate: Very light in the mouth, yet good extract of cherry and strawberry. The palate is slightly lean, slightly thin, yet as lean as I associate with Chiara Boschis.
Medium+ acidity with a fine structured finish where the fruit was right there with the tannin all the way.
Normally find Chiara Boschis too lean, and almost skipped this glass… but this had more flesh to it. A really well made wine; while not in the top tier of the tasting, this was in the tier right behind it.
