Cellar Treats (Our home Northfield IL): Out of magnum. Initially musty but developed in the decanter like a flower opening. Great comparison. Had a bit more sweetness than the Howell.

Opened to watch the Elite Eight in the NCAA tournament with French Goat Cheese, Nose of black berry, black cherry, cigar box and hint of bell pepper, same on the palate, big body, very Pauillac like, rich fruit, mouth filling fruit, easy to sip and savor, and a long finish.

Another winning showing, and even better than my last bottle. Beautiful, rich aromas of cracked pepper, black cherry, cigar, and a big hit of bell pepper. If served blind, I would have guessed a ripe year Sociando Mallet or Pichon Lalande with its distinctive green pepper tones. An absolutely delicious and aromatic gem from an unheralded vintage. Bravo!

Perfect color of deep plum with the slightest hint of browning. Smells like wine residue with red fruit mash. Silky tannins and notes of red fruits and coffee. Past it's prime, but still fun to drink.

(Dunn Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley) Cafe au lait and sweet palate, lacking in fruit; matured, resolved tannins with structure; medium finish

Pales in comparison to the 1987. But quite enjoyable. A bit of sweetness that wasn’t in the 87. No rush on these but likely not improving from here
