Palate of Blackberry and tobacco. Powdery tannins and tart cherry with oak on the middle. Black cherry and hints of dark baking spices with a lasting finish.
Full Body rich wine. Need to be tried with a rich meal.

The 17 Clos Fourtet shows a sedate, truffley nose. There’s plenty of fruit and freshness on the palate, but the finish stops quite short. Late note and end of the bottle, so full judgment reserved but some questions here. 87-88 points

Amsterdam UGCB Tasting and Winemakers' Dinner (Beurs van Berlage / Eden Hotel): Trade tasting, brief note. Ripe cherries with a hint of liqueur, perfect weight and balance, satiny texture, beautifully harmonious, beautifully enveloped tannins, very good length. An excellent wine.

Bordeaux 2017 En Primeur - In Bottle Tasting (Montreal): Small red berries, dark cherries with an underlining of cedar, earth and spice, grippy tannins and medium finish. Nice but not memorable.

Barrel sample at BB&R 2017 en primeur tasting. Dark, medium bodied, tannic. A good wine but not a patch on the 2010 shown alongside.
