  • Gigantic! The best Clos Fourtet made to date, better than the 2015, 2016 and 2020. And better than Figeac 2022 for my taste. Nobility of expression on the nose; we detect a minty freshness, on fruity notes of a beautiful intensity. Superb profile with an exceptional tactile dimension. Sumptuous texture and large finish.

  • Bordeaux 2022 en Primeur and some recent vintages: Had a bit more difficulty with this wine. A lot of of plums and cooked fruit aromas on the nose. Did this turn out a bit too ripe? A wine I would wait for the bottle arrivage on since the wine has a history of being overdone. 91+?

  • With a dark, almost purple hue, the wine expresses flowers, licorice, smoke, black cherries, blue fruits, spice, salt and oyster shell. The fruits on the palate are long, rich, elegant, deep, and ripe. There is concentration, silky tannins, vibrancy, length and strong, mineral-influences on the mid-palate, and in the opulent, lively, long and intense finish. This is the first vintage where the parcels of Grandes Murailles were integrated into Clos Fourtet. The wine blends blending 90% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Franc and 3% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14.5% ABV, 3.54 pH. The harvest took place, September 9 - September 27. Drink from 2027-2055. 97-99 Pts.

  • 98 vvPunkte / (90% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Cabernet Franc, 14.5% Alkohol, pH 3.54. Big, big Clos Fourtet. (Verkostet "En Primeur" im April 2023 auf Clos Fourtet) #primeurs22 www.vvWine.ch
