  Clean and refreshing, bit I found it a little light and lacking in sweetness for my palate. I thought it might have aged better.

  At Ku De Ta. A nice tipple for a warm Balinese afternoon. This had a decent nose of green apples edged with tropical fruit, then a touch of ripe limes, and just a hint of petroleum that showed the little bit of bottle age it had. The palate was pretty decent too, juicy and succulent with plenty of mouthwatering acidity, it unfolded in a singular beam of green apples and citrus fruit stretching into a lightly mineral finish. Simple, but very drinkable and food friendly.

  I haven’t had this wine younger but it feels like a few years in bottle have done it good and it’s not showing any sign of tiring; I think it’s in its peak window now but will hold there for several more years. Worth the $20 I paid, and I’ll buy at least a couple bottles of the 2019 when they come around. That said I wish I had a lot more 2016 Riesling in general. 6.5/10
