Fine Barolo, excellent liquorice and tar tastes. Drinking good even days after open. Quite smooth and silky tannins. You can feel a little high alcohol or something which take away some points for me. Maybe bette in 5 years but not sure.

Tart cherries, and red fruit. Pleasantly powerful, but softened tannins. Consumed over 120 minutes with a baked portabella mushroom stuffed with mozzarella, spinach and tomatoes. Excellent wine, would buy again.

Mint, roses, red liqorice, bark, dried fruit on the nose. Immediately tastes a little tight at this point but not sure that explains the hole in the mid-palate. Sweet fruit on the finish but finishes short and just evaporates. Lacking a little acid. Slightly bitter tannin. It’s not terrible but just feels like every element is not quite right.

Gordon's Festa d'Italia (Artists for Humanity Center - Boston MA): Walk around tasting. Charming red cherry and berry with floral and spice support with graceful tannins and a nearly approachable character already today.
