  • Pours like deep yellow extra virgin olive oil, smells like teriyaki glazed grilled pineapple and lemon sesame pound cake, butterscotch crystals, and coconut shavings.

Thick vein of acid keeps this freshy fresh (not at all sloppy).

    Great QPR, and something different.

  • Attractive nose with Appel, Apricot and Honeydew. On the palate, less impressive. Medium-bodied, high acidity, high alcohol and dry. The finish is thin. Did not live up to my expectations. Maybe bottle-variation?

  • Unctuous, waxy fruit feel in mouth. Golden in color and great fruit flavor, mostly Golden Delicious and Apricot. Well-balanced and delicious served with a ripe Port Salut and water crackers. Bought direct from the winery last summer for a steal of a price per bottle! Loved it!

  • Mrs Knurd was making shrimp scampi and wanted to see how this would hold up, as I enjoy an extra pinch of red pepper flake goodness with all that garlic, butter and vino bianco. Rewarded with a white wine that I am finding is key to making a meal complete. On its own it is a deep yellow color with a nose and palate of both cinnamon sprinkled baked apples and fresh cut yellow apples. Full and rich mouthfeel that carries hints of earthy green tea along with the traditional waxy Rousanne finish. Combined with the rich garlicky, buttery, and spicy sauce the wine amplifies the lemon juice acidity and adds a citrusy brightness to the meal that is otherwise not found individually in the dish or wine, without cutting the richness of the sauce or the fullness of the wine. The spicy fade of the dish brings out a green apple fade in the wine as well. Priced well at $20 but a steal considering how it performs with food. Overall evaluation A- (92).

  • I like Stolpman's Roussanne, but this perhaps not the best bottle. Enjoyable as always but perhaps something missing.
