"Relatively quiet nose with some green apple notes. On the palate, the wine is subtle with lemon zest, a touch of oak, and some minerality on the finish albeit not much. The midpalate and finish lack concentration and complexity to me. Pretty classically Chablis without much age, likely 2018. Likely in the $40 range and I rate this 87pts."

Pale gold color. Textbook nose of saline, iodine, and white orchard fruit, although there's some lemony citrus too. Compact but very expressive at this relatively early stage. On the nose it really couldn't be anything else but fine Chablis.
Balanced and yet taut on the palate, showing great acid tension that scrapes the tongue and begs for another sip. Flinty minerality on the lingering green apple and stony finish. Maybe not achingly austere but a smashingly good wine for sipping or with simply prepared fish or shellfish. Oyster please.

Excellent classic 1er chablis. Has developed a pleasant nuttiness at this age, 5+ years.

Les Portes d'Or de la Bourgogne - Les Grands Jours de Bourgogne (Chablis France): Walk around tasting. Slightly floral with fleshy apple with good density and weight, ending with a bright finish. 80+ yo vines. Easily the best of the table's lineup. At the start of its drinking window.
