Dinner at Langbaan (Langbaan, Portland OR): The nose is fresh and lifted with balanced tones of white peaches, quince, pears, white flowers, minerals, apples, saline, nectarines, and some fresh herbs. There is good depth with an open-knit style. The Light bodied feel is fresh and balanced with crisp, high acidity that has good persistence. The finish has some length to it and the acidity is refreshing and with good cut. This is drinking very well right now but there is plenty of room for growth.

But I do get what the other gentleman below meant with cabbage and band aid. I think it is a sulfuric element of gunpowder which builds a complex note with the mango fruity, herbal and acacia honey notes. Was better on day 2 than on day 1, too. Also: I just tasted the 2018, and it is stellar !

That's not "cabbage" on the nose, it's delightfully herbal nettles, but not overly so. Again: day 2 was not as extremely good as day 1, but enough to warrant the rating. For TNs, see my previous entry.

This is in an awkward stage. There’s an off-putting smell of cabbage on the nose, a note of band-aid as well. Tight on the palate, marks of petrol, astringent fruit. Almost more dry than sweet. Might be closed down. Wait.
