Smells just like young mosel riesling should, but on the palate the wine is a bit flabby and unfocused. Probably just caught this wine at a bad moment.

Opens up with a wonderful nose of stones, chalk, salt and citrus notes. Incredibly precise and pure fruited palate, marks of green fruits, peach and even red fruits. Intense and persistant, this is a wine that needs some cellaring, but wow is it great today as well.

Sichuan and Rieslings (Taste of Sichuan, Beaverton OR): This is showing a bit tight at the moment with Saline, peaches, green apples, white fruits, mint, herbs, nectarines, acacia flowers, and mineral notes. The Medium/light bodied feel has some density and heft, but it isn’t weighty at all. The high acidity is crisp and mouthwatering with a lengthy and pleasing finish. This will need some age as there is a lot of stuffing here. There is a lot of class and depth across the nose and palate with a succulent quality that is hard to resist.
