We were shopping for a bottle to have at dinner with Todd and Sharletta in Georgia and came across this bottle at a Kroger’s. We hold on to the receipt in case it was bad since it was upright in the cellar…
Oppened just 15 min prior to dinner, the cork crumbled and broke into pieces, I used a strainer to served tbe wine into the glaces.
When I tasted the wine for the first time (having more questions than answers at that moment and ready for a plan B) I immediately went into the Wine’s-God-Hands, I felt goosebumps all over my neck!! I lost my balance for a quick second so I held onto the kitchen’s top!
This wine, (this bottle I should say) was in a perfect harmony between a dainty acidity, seductive dried fruits and brittle tannins. Minerals and valley flowers comes to mind…
Paired with Filet Mignon, Asparagus, and double backed Potatoes.
Thinking that this was a $20 bottle of wine upon released and drank so well at age 20 is quite an experience!
Thanks Todd for having us over and be part of this memorable wine-dinner.

Wow, now that is in a right and proper place. Savory but still with enough fruit. Right there.
