Wow, a 2004? Seemed fresher and more youthful. Fabulous showing tonight. A the opening dinner for the CBCC Governors trophy. Thanks to BS. Lovely.
The wine is well balanced youthful stilll but slightly acidic. There are berry notes and a spine of acidity that likely limits upside gains. Drink now as this wine is at the tail end of any gains fro age.

Brought this to Tonny's Restaurant last night for a wine dinner. Theme of the evening: Wines from USA.
Brick reddish purple in colour with matured notes of coffee, dark chocolate, aged leather, and blue berries. Good intensity and balance in the mouth, red fruits, a touch of caramel and cream, tea leaves and fragrant oak notes completed the composure of this 16 year old wine.
A new world Cabernet Sauvignon made in Bordeaux style, a classic Sonoma claret. This is a good time to open up this bottle and enjoy; no harm keeping it for another 3 to 5 years in the cellar though.
