This taste ridiculously good at this moment in time. Sodt dark fruit notes on the nose. Red fruits as well but but as sweet smelling as well. Nice fruit flavors on the palate with tannins that are pretty much integrated into the wine. The tannins take over slightly but not heavily. Finish last quite long. I’m thoroughly surprise at how well this wine is. I thought it would be very primary being a well know cab from Cali an the price point. Wish I had more of these. I get more red fruits on the palate than dark fruits. I popped an poured this btw. All in all a really great wine for the price. Compared to my last bottle from a few months ago this is the opposite of what i had prior. Last time i decanted the wine this time I opened an enjoyed immediately. Maybe why I’m feeling diff about this bottle vs the last.
Next day a 91. Semi one dimensional like my previous bottle but with some flare. Still has an extra level but not like yesterday. In my opinion drink this on a pop n pour to be at its best. Still drinking well but not as good as the first day.

Day 1: Natural cork. One of those auction purchases to fill out a case. $45 with shipping and tax so not a big loss. This is way better than Caymus, Silver Oak and Austin Hope which so many beginners think are good. Lighter in style with cherry, dust, earth and mild spices. Short to medium finish. This pales in comparison to Alexander Valley Cyrus. Drink now. Rana at 96 is a joke. 85 points Day 2: I can't get over how boring this wine is. While it is not a sweet Paso Robles Cab it just lacks any personality. Cherry, dust, light floral notes and mild spice. Just not something worth drinking in my opinion and so many better options out there for less. 84 points Day 3: Going downhill. Lacks fruit and tastes watered down. A most disappointing wine that should really be about $20 a bottle. 80 points Recommendation: This is an easy pass for me. The wine is nothing like the Anderson's Conn Valley or Alexandar Valley Cyrus wines for about the same price or a few more dollars. Gifting the other 2.

Nose is starting to show some tertiary notes. Drinking after 30 min decant. Not amazing and dEf drinkable. Tannins aren’t as strong as I would’ve thought an the fruit isn’t as powerful as I’d thought also.

This bottle was much better than the first with sour berries, minerals, mild spice, earth and subtle oak. A nice overall experience.
