-color: still a deep violet with beautifully purple edges, fascinating after 10 years of age -Body:with a little swirling, this wine is full bodied with slow, thick tears -Aroma:Cassis, creme de cassis liqueur, garrigue and bramble, rich, ripe black fruits like blackberry jam -Palate: after dinner, this is initially salty like lightly salted plums but even with this age this is still a big tannic bruiser that has a refined edge to it. It dries out the sides of the mouth and the edge of the tongue but with a silken blade. Salty blackberry and black current, this wine was singing with the irony character of flank steak but is salty and almost medicinal on its own

Whilst it is Vieux Telegraphes entry level wine and based on last night tasting won't last another decade, it is bloody nice drinking now. The Grenache has taken on a savoury mulberry flavour. With brown bricking around the edge, I will be drinking the last of these up over the next year or so. No point holding much longer.
