A nice entry level cdp. The nose is the best feature- cherries, black fruit and kirsch. Pallet slightly thin for me but it is reasonably well balanced overall.

Might have been the food pairing (lamb chops from a wood fired oven), but found this quite lackluster. Or perhaps it was oxidized. Have another bottle, so will pair with something less dramatic and see how it is then.

At a private dinner, Coorparoo. A deep cherry red colour, this wine showed a fresh nose of raspberry and black cherry with touches of blueberry. The palate is foward and rich with a fine texture and length given the foward fruit. there is a touch of undergrowth and minerality on the finish that provides a savoury touch.

Garrigue, red cherries, plums. Slightly austere. Needs time.
