Some serious funkiness blew off after 15-30 minutes. Alas, not leading to anything too interesting- red and black fruit on the nose. Pleasant fruit on a medium weight body. A nice wine with food - Cacio e Pepe homemade pasta - but a middling wine at this time.

Blackberries, meat, leather, earth, mint , spices and some pepper. Rather high in alcohol. Very typical notes of GSM blend. It has some layers of flavours but lack complexity. Medium(+) tannins and good acidity to keep flavours in check. Medium(+) finish.
It's quite pleasant now, but I am not sure if it will get significantly better with further aging.

Decanted for an hour. Drank with beef tenderloin. Better this time around then my scoring from July 2012. Age has helped it out. Aromas of dark fruit (plum and blackberry) and garrigue. Flavors follow with additions of some pepper. Good body and balance. med+ finish with spicy pepper notes. med+ tannins that went perfectly with the grilled beef. 90pts.

Nice and light, not too complex but just fine with grilled Tbones

Not very complicated, but/and so satisfying.
