Deep golden color, this bottle has fully evolved into a soft honeyed gum drop that is a little past its prime (kept at 55 during its entire life) but would be welcomed by someone who appreciates fully mature Burgundian style chardonnay.

The Dinner is meant to be an extraordinary CA Chard & a signature premium wine for Hobbs. But this falls short of other vintages- oh it's still a pleasure to drink, but as compared to the 04 or 06 this lacks the classic mature characteristics of its brethren and it's peers. As with the Ritchie, what's in other vintages makes this pale.
