We love all things Paul Hobbs - especially the Chards. This one was a bit too sweet for me. Definitely flavors of butterscotch and creme brûlée. Golden in color, the wine was extremely viscous and heavy. The flavors intensified as the wine warmed. Long finish with flavors of honey and citrus.

Tasted along with the 2012 Ellen Lane Estate. This wine is a little sleepy. Aromas are a bit shy when popped and poured, but open up into more honeyed and woody aromas. Initial pronounced butterscotch on the palate eventually was joined by subtle citrus notes. The finish is long and the wine continued to get better over the course of the evening. This one's a real winner!

Light, straw color and crystal clear in the glass. Flavors of butterscotch on the palette. I'm not sure if this wine needs to be consumed now, or if it has another transformation ahead as it spends even more time in the bottle.

Brilliant and clear gold color, very pretty and bright. Floral, apple, vanilla, and peach on the nose. Tastes are pear, apple, sea salt, and herbal notes. Good acidity and clean taste.

Simply delicious. So much going on. Honey, apricots, deft use of oak. Long finish. Precision winemaking.
