Suckling's Great Wines of Italy (Loews Hotel - Chicago IL): Walk around tasting. Both richer and more tannic than the 2016 Monfalletto. This has a few more modern, oaky elements but is also so classically Barolo with its medium weight and big, elegant tannins. Very cellarworthy, better 2025-, 92-93+ point potential.

The nose showed mineral-infused black cherry, dried florals and herbal tones, exotic dark spices, and minerals. On the palate, i found silky textures with zesty red berry fruits, minerals and spice as brisk acids and grippy tannin saturated the senses. The finish was long and balanced, showing a twang of spicy dark red berries, lingering herbal tones and saline-minerality. Enrico VI was my favorite Barolo of the 2015 range, with enough stuffing to mature nicely for a decade or more.
