Perfectly good for a quaffer. There was a ripeness to the fruit that was evident on the nose...the young wines show through on the palate...the complexity is not the same as the Cornas, but it was enjoyable...correct...what I expect for cornas, if a little "clean" for Clape...Medium finish. If I had to complain about something, it would be the lack of complexity. DRINK.

Dark fruit, with a roasted / charcoal component in the forefront. Highish acidity might not be for everyone. Gutsy, no-nonsense stuff. A step up from the 2003 and 2004 version, IMO. Great bistro wine - I see drinking this with onion soup, a big, honkin' piece o' bread, olive tapenade, and rustic pate... Or maybe steak frites... Yum.
