  • Two bottles, very consistent. High acidity, medium body, with a very strong animal quality in the mid-palate -- interesting, but not very pleasant. Spiky, almost spritzy acidity, with some dark berry fruit on the aftertaste. It was better with food than without, but we had the two bottles on the table for eight people, and neither bottle was finished.

  • Two years since my previous note, and this is turning into a brilliant Vin des Amis. Not decanted, and it scores and ace straight from cellar and from the bottle. An essence of Northern Rhône Syrah, with exemplary purity and precision, a perfectly classical flavour profile, both in the floral (rose, violet) and fruit (orange zest, sweet peach, ripe red cherry) departments, black pepper and a hint of black olive, remarkable minerally energy and freshness on the palate for this hot vintage, lacks a bit of power and weight for a really high score, sandy tannins, dry and appetising finish with very good resonance and length. Drink now and over the next five years - it will probably last even longer than that, but I doubt that it will get any more delicious than it is today.

  • Consistent with notes 9 months ago. Very lovely and accessible. Tip: try drinking this out of a Burgundy glass, wow! Will be best 2023-2030. Technical score: 92. Enjoyment score: 92.

  • Dark red berries. Very aromatic. Medium tannins. Very nice. Was hosting so I didnt have time to analyze the wine.
