Good, and fresher than my last bottle in June of '22, which I attributed perhaps to a cork failure. In any case, this was not advanced. I'm still finding wood here and would prefer if it integrated a bit better, but overall a very pleasant Pinot noir with good intensity and sufficient acidic lift.

Damp forest floor, mushroom, red berries and spiced citrus on the nose. Very rustic. Brightens with air, the red fruit leads adding notes of graham cracker, sweet cinnamon bark and pepper spice.
It’s been a few years since my last, the wine has shed all that crunchy red fruit quality - the secondaries, especially on the nose, really shine. Another person noted it seemed much further along and I tend to agree, I’m not sure I’d hold more than two or three more years. Regardless it’s well integrated and balanced, and really nice to drink at this stage, so not sure there’s much reason to hold off.

This bottle was surprisingly advanced. Drinkable but not at all representative of the aging curve seen in previous bottles. Storage and acquisition were identical, so I have to suspect a cork issue. Not bad, but with a case remaining, somewhat worrying.

For the money ($27), this is a ridiculous value. Wine of the week, by far. It is it's own beast. Love this wine.
