2017 vintage. Purchased from winery. Wasn't as good as the first bottle. Tasted over extracted and jammy. Hopefully, this is a one-off and the last two bottles are better.

Love DeLille, but not always their syrah. This, however, is one lovely wine. Classic WA syrah characteristics: strong berry compote nose, deep & sweet blackberry flavors, good acid and smooth tannins, finishing long and saliva-inducing.

Opaque purple red, blackberry/cassis notes, medium-bodied, then boysenberry and brambly fruit. A bit more heat than I remembered (it reads 14.6%) and still quite tasty.

Purple red, definitely Rhonish nose (garrigue, lavender) along with plenty of oak, which detracted from the experience at least initially. With air, the oak subsided, and the result is a pleasant wine although not my favorite from DeLille.

Dark violet/red, hints of oak, menthol, and black/red fruit on the nose, lighter-bodied with good acidity and a surprising amount of heat (14.6 degrees of alcohol!). Gets a bit sweeter with air. Liked this more the last time we tasted it.
