Nice, surprisingly bright red colour, so different than some of the other tasting notes from other drinkers. Nice, typical Barolo notes of tar, licorice, even some dark chocolate; tannins very firm still. I'd rate this as a typical austere "traditional" Barolo (which I love) but interestingly, their website says they now age in smaller French barrels. This is more typical of aging in "foudres" in my opinion. Nice structure but I'm looking for a little more complexity and length.

Disappointing. No nose to speak of, good texture and acids but no distinction on the palate, just a bunch of dark red fruits. Medium finish. The bottle was not stored in the cellar but it didn't really feel heat damaged. Was it still shut down? Don't know, maybe. And maybe just not that good.

A pleasant surprise. Strawberries, flowers, and licorice on the nose, with red fruit, licorice, and crushed rocks on the palate. I was afraid that this would be too young, but it is already drinking beautifully. The flavors are nicely integrated. Quite enjoyable.
