  • Nice Barolo. More on the modernest side. Fairly fruit driven. Good ripeness for a cooler vintage. Mix of red and some purple fruit. Pretty obvious small French oak influence on the nose (their website confirms small barrels). Has that modernist sheen. Pleasant and accessible, though the tannins are definitely moderate plus. Not sure I would have picked it out blind as a Barolo, but I enjoyed it.

I prefer more of the traditionalist approach, but if you like the more modern style this is nicely done at a good price.
