Light to medium garnet color turning amber rust at the rim with a wide transparent edge. The nose is clean and fresh with a sleek smoky feel to the red fruits with hints of mushrooms and toasted oak. The palate us light to medium bodied with laser like acidity that cunningly hides its age. This feels more like a 2014. Flavors of red cherry, strawberry and cranberry at the core. Secondary flavors of leather and cedar, which lends to a long, spicy but silky finish. Drink now until 2029+.

At first showed gorgeous floral red fruited nose but a little heaviness on the palate. A couple hours in the decanter revealed a wine with a huge amount of depth and energy, well balanced and eventually starting to show a bit of tannin. 90 at PnP, 93 two hours later. Excellent, next bottle in a year.

Starting to show some development and secondary characteristics - light and linear but with lingering depth. Sitting in a half way house of being neither too young or quite old enough. Good stuff but I'd be tempted to leave it a while to let it funk up a little more.

Pretty and ready. Red berries, soil, a touch of Barolo-like tar. Perfumed and tasty, not weighty but with grip. Great showing for a blended 1er. B+/A-
