Color showing a little bit of age but with air this is all salinity and meyer lemon oil and zest. Some white flower coming through as well. Zippy acid with intense and deep flavor in the mouth. Super long finish +++

Robert's Holiday Dinner at Margaux's Table (Margaux's Table, White Bear Lake, MN): Pale gold color. Drank a glass over an hour. I like the profile here, showing tangerine and Meyer lemon across the nose and palate, vibrant, tangy, salte and citrus peel, actually a bit more trim than the '15 Leeuwin, though the oak seem similar to me but buoyed better by the youthful, more vivid fruit.

Robert's Holiday Party (Margaux's): My favorite Chardonnay of the night! This was singing even better than the 2015 Leeuwin, and surprisingly, was more integrated. Lots of pear, apple and melon with some hints of spice and citrus, and nicely integrated sweet toasty oak! Absolutely delicious now, but will be even better with a little more bottle age. Easy 94 to 94+ now! Drink or hold.
Note: I don't know why I don't buy this....such a good value and squarely in my wheelhouse!

2 years since last bottle and this is starting to kick into gear - no decant and straight it glass, it’s giving similar vibes to earlier bottles. Soft, creamy but with some nice bite and development on finish loop. Touch of smoke, plenty of fresh juice. Really good.

Robert's holiday get-together: Drank a small glass at a tasting. The lemon and minerality stand up to tangy almost tropical fruit.
