Serious brightness and vigour here; although with a cavalcade of tannins from halfway through the mouthful. Cigar box to major sour wood. Good high fruit notes - pale cherry. Plus chocolate notes, especially on nose.
Is drinkable, in invigorating fashion, with meat. Standing on a windy coast on a bright winter's day! 88pts. Classical 'peak' would be in 6 years, but hard to believe has depth of flavour to have much flavour then and give more pleasure than now. Next day: dull, woody white cherry - Merlot is 43%. That's probably been increased in recent years to deliver populist fruit, but it so rarely works! Vitality has gone.

very nice for a wine under 10 euro, strong flavors, somewhat closed on 2nd day, again better on 3rd day
