  • Keeps on impressing (and improving). Even more harmonious than the last bottle, this was a beautifully balanced and developed Margaux. Elegant, floral but with enough fruit stuffing to keep this rocking for many years. Just the slightly abrupt finish prevents even higher merits.

  • ML: stewed plum, fast finish and falls flat. High tannin/dry mouth
JL: taste disappears fast, black cherry fruit, dry.

  • Quite the disappointment.
All good things are in the wine, just not broadcasting with any kind of bandwidth. Unstrutting its own stuff.

Didn't do anything for any of the dishes (French restaurant Le Message in Yokohama, Gumyoji) except disappear. Not even standing up to a simple salad or baguette dipped in olive oil...

Like a Death Metal concert played at 55 dB. Zlatan on the bench. Elevator out of order. The chair hasn't even three legs. The one-stringed blues guitar. Action movies without heroes. Diapers lacking absorption. A sledgehammer of 48 grams. All the TV shows that aren't funny. Chilli peppers that score 0 for capsaicin. Any WiFi router that delivers 25 bits per second and calls it AMAZING. All tap dancers without any sense of rhythm. The knife that simply isn't sharp. Etc.

Simply put: A delivery far below par. As things stand: this wine doesn't cut it. I will never ever buy this vintage again.

Over extracted with an old-style over-extracted Aussie deposit. Like a skunk-drunk Bobert Larker, over-extracting everything that would have been intensely more exciting through the time immemorially proven: subtlety and understatement...

"Let the imagination of the receiver work overtime, and ye shall reap godspeed." Rev 13:56

  • Beautifully developed with cedar, tobacco, leather and some earthy notes, which are backed up by a strong fruit core. Great presence, fresh acidity and elegant tannic structure promise further potential. An excellent Margaux that doesn’t leave you broke.
