Gentle but persistent notes of butter, cream, lemon zest, roasted sesame and cashews. Further aeration reveals notes of vanilla pods. Best served at room temperature in big Zalto Burgundy glass. Solid BM.

Brought this to a blind tasting of WBs, I feared I was bringing a knife to a gun fight: medium gold color; earthy nose with lemon creme and hints of root beer; still some crispness and extract, lots of nice spices; this was singing tonight. The hands-down group fave and everyone was as surprised as I was! (especially the guy that brought the Leflaive Bienvenues) 93/94

On nose: Buttered, roasted hazelnuts, vanilla and ripe apples. Decanted for 2 hours. On palate:for an 18 year old Grand Cru, remarkably fresh, a pale, ring gold colour, and flavors of Apples, lemon custard, a hint of cooked cabbage ( in a good way , minerals and even some cinnamon and fresh tarragon! This wine is at the end of a mature drinking Window, if you have any, drink up NOW, it will likely oxidize very soon. A remarkable experience: this wine managed to be both rich and complex, without being heavy or overly " Oaky".... . medium bodied but very full flavoured.
