  This wine reminded me that I usually prefer left bank red Bordeaux to California Cabs. The former wines seem to have more finesse. I have had a Star Lane Cab that I liked much better, but I think the 2017 might well improve. I gave the wine 90+ points for now. The 14.5% alcohol and the great predominance of Cabernet Sauvignon (85 percent) prevented me today from giving it more than 91+ points, though it seemed to have improved a little. Good aroma. Next day I only gave it 90 points.

  Muy joven aún, sin embargo muestra señales de madurar en un muy buen vino. De precioso color rubí en nariz la fruta negra, ciruela sobre todo, predomina. Algunas notas compotadas le acompañan, pero la madera aún no está integrada del todo. En boca una buena acidez permite apreciar otros matices, como grosella, cereza y mermelada de frambuesa. Ligeramente inclinado hacia el perfil dulce, pero con unos taninos vivos y joviales lo mantienen interesante. Guardar 2 o 3 años más.
  
  Notas a las 24 horas del descorche:
  La fruta negra sigue predominando. Se confirma que aún está muy joven. La dulzura va disminuyéndose y aparecen, muy tenues, las notas secundarias de vainilla, tabaco y piedra mojada. La sensación característica de Rutherford se hace presente (tiza, caliza). Elegante pero unidimensional de momento. Reservar
