  • This Cabernet drinks like a slightly tannic Pinot Noir. Very soft tannins enter the palette and numb the tip of your tongue while the slight acidity makes the back of your mouth water. Cherries, tobacco, moss, and flint all show up on the nose with a Smokey vanilla aroma. The cost of this wine is $50. I was wondering how is it possible that a 2005 Cabernet be so low in price. The answer lies in the simplicity of tannins that are not as active and intense. If you ever see a very expensive Cabernet, it most likely possesses strong lasting powerful tannins that have the ability to give you chills throughout your body that surpass your mouth. This wine is light, calm, and collected with numbing effects on the tip of your tongue. The lingering finish will last for a minute and create a mouth watering bouquet of floral roses mixed with plum compote.

Drink with friends who enjoy Pinot noir with a kick.

  • Very nice, very smooth. Little to no hint on tannin but plenty dry. Absolutely no alcohol bite. Juicy and delicious. Don't see more age helping.

  • Decanted at 8am and drank @ 2pm. Initial tasting had me worried as you could tell it was past its peak. Color was light brown but once poured in the glasses it continued to open up and drank very well. Fruit came forward with a very peppery finish. Every one really enjoyed it. If you still have any of the 2005 suggest you decant for several hours and drink them now!
