The wine has changed character since my last bottle several years ago. Raisins and currants are predominant flavors. Has some complex nuances and finishes with a bit of coffee grounds. Interesting but found prior bottle a better drinker. Suggest pairing with food.

Just as good as I remember it. Loads of fruit up front and lots of tannic punch yet. This will hold for another 5-10 years. Paired well with black pepper burgundy leg of lamb.

(SELVAPIANA BUCERCHIALE CHIANTI CLASSICO RISERVA) #1; COLOR-dark; NOSE-very interesting powdered Cinnamon mixed w/ blackberry jam; hint of English peas; very subtle sweaty armpit; TASTE-serious lushness; this wine is what it's all about; enormous complexity; beautiful, luscious fruit; so pure & delicious; massive smoked hickory beefy flavors on the mid-palate which transitions gorgeously, to long, luscious fruit flavors (the best & purest fruit jam you've ever had in your life); the Cinnamon comes back on the finish; I love this wine; IWC-93; GV-93+

Light, refreshing, pleasant strawberry fruit. But too much tannin for me.

Darker than expected. Still drinking well. Tannic. Fruit has faded a bit. Pretty good, but holding longer probably won't help much.

Ripe....ready to drink now. Wonderful nose and great mouthful of flavors like licorice and flowers with spices.
